A group of elderly from Roseville Home, Attard were invited for a tea party which was held at our school, Hamrun Secondary School. PTI students prepared some savoury snacks and sweets during the PTI lessons and set the table on the day to give a warm welcome to the elderly. One of the students prepared a beautiful cake and decorated it to add up to what we had to offer them. The elderly were positively surprised by the warm welcome they received from the students. Both the elderly and our students spent an enjoyable morning interacting over a cup of tea and some snacks. It was a very positive experience where there was a sharing of experiences from different generations and we are looking forward to organise further events as part of the intergenerational project.
