On Wednesday 19th February 2025 a group of 8 enthusiastic students, from the Young Parliamentarians group and the Student School Council, had the unique opportunity to visit the US Embassy and meet the Charge d’Affaires Mr Ken Toko. The visit was an eye-opening experience for the students, who were eager to learn about diplomacy and international relations.

During the visit, the students engaged in a lively Q&A session with the Charge d’Affaires. The diplomat eagerly answered their questions, sharing valuable insights and suggestions on various life experiences. He also showed a keen interest in the students’ opinions on issues affecting young people today, fostering a meaningful dialogue. As a concluding gesture to the meeting, two books were donated to our school library.

The visit finalised with a short tour of the embassy, where the students got a glimpse of the inner workings of the diplomatic mission. This memorable experience left the students inspired and more informed about the world of diplomacy. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for this experience.
