Two years ago, two ground floor corridors were embellished with hanging pots and plants. Our year 10 geography option students carried out an investigation to check the factors that might affect plant growth. The amount of water in the soil was recorded through a digital water meter and each plant was weighed. Students observed the leaves, soil, whether the corridors face the North or South and the amount of sunlight in the corridor.
The students collected primary data; formulated questions to investigate; they tried to find answers to their questions; and finally they communicated their findings. Well done to all students.
