⚡Year 10 Chemistry Students Explore Electrolysis ⚡
Our Year 10 (Form 4) Chemistry students have been learning about electrolysis—a process that uses electricity to create chemical reactions. This method is used in real-life industries in metal purification, chemical production and coating objects (electroplating) with a thin layer of metal (like copper, gold, or silver).
In the lab, students saw how electricity can split water into hydrogen and oxygen gas and even tried metal plating, where they coated objects with metal using electricity. Hands-on experiments like these make learning both clear and fun!
