On Wednesday 22nd January, our Young parliamentarians’ group undertook training to enhance their poise, voice modulation, eye contact, gestures, and the speed at which they discuss various topics. This comprehensive training aims to refine their public speaking skills, ensuring they communicate more effectively and confidently in debate sessions.

Students were also made aware that public speaking can be difficult, and even experienced speakers can make errors. The guest speaker, from Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, highlighted common mistakes such as lack of preparation, which can result in stumbling and a loss of confidence, and the overuse of fillers like “um,” “uh,” and “like,” which can detract from the message.
