The Year 10 and Year 11 Accounting students attended the StartUp Festival held at the Aviation Museum in Ta’ Qali. During the event, students participated in various interactive stations where they worked collaboratively in groups, exploring different aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation. Some students also took part in a competition, showcasing their creativity and teamwork and proudly achieved the position of 1st runner-up. It was an engaging and enriching experience that inspired students to think like future innovators.
One of the participating students, Deona Spiteri (11.1), shared her experience:
“In all honesty, being a part of the Hackathon this year was really fun! A few others along with myself got to discuss what we can do for better transportation, and everyone did their part and contributed one way or another. We as a team also got to present our project to 5 other schools, and it was nerve-wracking. In the end, we got second place – and I couldn’t have been happier in the moment, both for myself, and the others who also found the courage to go up on stage to present with me. “
