As part of their theory training and fitness testing assessment, the PE option students were given the opportunity to plan and deliver a fitness component session to Year 6 primary students under the guidance of Ms Vella. This practical experience allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge of training principles, and session structure in a real-world setting.
They planned main activities while ensuring the session was safe, inclusive, and engaging.
The assessment enabled students to demonstrate leadership, organisation, and communication skills. Overall, the experience strengthened their understanding of theory by putting it into meaningful practice. This also allowed them to peek into their possible future of planning sessions!
