Checkmate! 
Last week, six of our talented chess club members accompanied by Ms Demicoli and Mr Mormina, represented the school at the Chess Interschools Tournament, organised by the Malta Chess Federation at De La Salle College.
Competing across six intense rounds against other schools, our team secured a respectable 7th place out of 26 schools. This is our second year participating in the tournament – following our stint as hosts last year – and for several of our players, it was their very first competitive experience!
Our students have been practising almost daily during chess break club since the start of the school year with their teacher Mr E. Thake. A well done to all our players on this achievement!
