House System Champions Crowned After Exciting Tug of War FinaleThis scholastic year marked the introduction of the House System at San Ġorġ Preca Secondary School, Ħamrun. Throughout the year, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities aimed at fostering teamwork, school spirit, leadership, and community involvement.The four Houses – Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire – competed in numerous events, including a bake sale, sports activities, volunteering at the marathon, Christmas decorations, quiz and a Carnival costume competition. Students demonstrated remarkable dedication and enthusiasm, earning valuable points for their respective Houses throughout the year.As the competition progressed, the standings remained extremely close, making it difficult to determine an overall winner. To settle the contest, a thrilling tug of war was held on 4th June, providing a fitting and exciting conclusion to the inaugural House System competition.Following a spirited display of teamwork and determination, the final results were:1st Place – Wind: 1275 points2nd Place – Water: 1250 points3rd Place – Earth: 1050 points4th Place – Fire: 1025 pointsCongratulations to Wind House, the overall winners of this year's House System competition.A big well done goes to all House Masters, educators, and students for their hard work, commitment, and participation throughout the year.
